Important fields for selling with Criteo

Title - is the element that apart from image and price is most important on most channels. Here it is very important to convey the core features of the item while being very brief. For most channels this includes adding Brand, Color, Size, Material and Type into a title of often less than 50-100 characters.

Description - the keywords you use in both your title and description field play a role in determining the relevancy of your products. That’s why it’s important to add descriptive keywords to your descriptions as well. The description gives you the opportunity to list out product features, technical specifications and give shoppers a reason as to why the product can benefit them.

Price - Accurately submit the product's price (not sales price) and currency, and match with the price from your landing page
Make sure that your landing page includes the price in the currency of the country of sale prominently and in a place that's straightforward to find.

How to start using Criteo?

Our integration to Criteo is based on a xml file integration with up to 50 points of data on each item send, which adheres to the Criteo product feed specifications. We can help import your data from URL, ftp, Shopify, Magento, Woocommerce, Website crawl and many other ways.

How to Submit your Feed to Criteo: 

  1. Register for a Criteo account.
  2. Create an Criteo product feed. Using WakeupData's pre-made templates.
  3. Set up your Criteo connection.

The Criteo feed module allows you to import your product feed directly to the Criteo platform. Your file should be formatted as a CSV or XML Google Feed. To retrieve the product feed and import all the product details it contains, the module needs access to your product feed file using one of the below protocols:

  1. FTP (File transfer Protocol) 
  2. HTTP or HTTPS

What are Criteo's required Feed specifications?

 The feed requirements for basic Criteo feeds are based product attributes like:

  • Unique product Id
  • Title
  • Description
  • Google product category
  • price
  • image link
  • availability

There may well be other additional product attributes required for a high performing Criteo product feed. You should try and ensure you product data is fully optimized, with engaging images, descriptions and titles containing all relevant attributes to attract shoppers.
